The client's own problem statement:
"There’s nothing more natural for kids than to move, to play, and to make new friends, yet they seem to be doing less and less of it these days.
In the real world, at least. In the digital world, their movement, play and friend lists have increased substantially."
Their service: Full Body Gaming, blends gaming with physical activity and exercise, helping gamers build healthier habits around what they love, and kids do what they naturally do best - be kids
The client wanted an mvp to be able to sell their product and service for different municipalities.
I collaborated with a UX designer who did the research for the project and together we ideate the gamification design.
I build a design system from scratch and the UI design for the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) of the application.
We had reconciliations once a week with the stakeholder and I also collaborated with their branding company for the UI and components for the design, so it aligned with their brandbook.
We used the design thinking process and the double diamond where I contributed the most in the second phase.
As part of a collaborative effort with my colleague, we undertook the task of designing the MVP for Fuzed. Leveraging extensive research and stakeholder feedback, wireframes were meticulously crafted to align with user needs and project goals.
While my colleague focused on research and wireframing, I took the initiative to develop a comprehensive design system in Figma. This strategic decision aimed to expedite the UI design process and ensure consistency across all elements of the product.
With a tight deadline of one month allocated for the UI design phase and three months in total, I engaged in weekly coordination sessions with the client. This iterative approach allowed for real-time feedback and adjustments, ensuring that the final product would meet or exceed expectations.
The result of our efforts was a visually appealing and user-friendly MVP design that not only addressed stakeholder requirements but also resonated with end-users. By prioritizing collaboration, adaptability, and user-centric design principles, we successfully delivered a solution that laid a strong foundation for future iterations.
Through this project, I gained valuable insights into the importance of proactive communication, iterative design, and the pivotal role of a well-defined design system in accelerating the development process. This experience reinforced my commitment to delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions that drive meaningful outcomes.
